The McKinney Noon Lions were honored to listen to a presentation given by Troy Dale from the Lions Organ & Eye Bank at their September 28th meeting.
The Lions Organ and Eye Bank (LOEB) actively supports local clubs in the vision screening of adults and children. A typical year will show the support in both equipment and volunteers that result in over 100 screening events, with 8000 of those screened children. For more information visit their web site at http://www.loeb2e2.org/.
The LOEB was established on April 26th, 1970 when sixteen Lions of District 2-E2 met at the Hurst Lions Club Building for the purpose of creating an Organ and Eye Bank.
The two students of the month are from McKinney Boyd High School. They are HD Townson, the son of Tim and Mary Townson, and Jordan Briggs, the daughter of David and April Townson.
