McKinney Lions Club has been a very active part of the community since 1920. Join us as we strive to help others who are less fortunate and help McKinney thrive. Membership is open to anyone wanting to assist others in the community and beyond.
HISTORY
Lions Club International was chartered in October of 1917, our McKinney club was chartered on October

Did you know that the McKinney High School mascot was originally the Bison?
In 1924 there was no money in the budget for the school to purchase uniforms for the football team. The McKinney Lions Club stepped up and purchased the uniforms and the school changed their mascot to the Lions in appreciation of this community service.
In 2015 We Provided
Fifty Four needy children's eye exams and glasses free.
100 box fans given to needy families.
Donation to Challenge Air for flights for children.
Two B.B. Cope scholarships given to High School students.

The Lions Club Motto is “WE SERVE” and we look forward to having more McKinney residents join us
and enjoy this effort.
